Plain-English terms for ordering from Rai Desserts. By placing a pre-order you agree to these. Please also read the allergen information before you order.
About us
Rai Desserts is a small-batch dessert business based in Levenshulme, Manchester. You can reach us at raemanesh7@gmail.com.
How ordering works
- We bake in weekly batches. When you check out, you reserve a slot in the current open batch.
- Your order is a pre-order. It is confirmed only once we have received your payment.
- A minimum order value applies and is shown at checkout. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP).
- Products are subject to availability. If something sells out for a batch, it cannot be ordered for that batch.
Payment
Our default payment method is bank transfer — pay to the account shown at checkout and in your order email, using your order number as the reference. Where card payment is offered, it is handled securely by our payment provider. Your slot is held while we wait for payment; if payment is not received, we may cancel the order and release the slot back to the batch.
Allergens and food safety
Every product is supplied with full ingredient and allergen labelling (PPDS / Natasha’s Law). Our kitchen handles milk, eggs, gluten and tree nuts, so we cannot guarantee the absence of any of these. If you or anyone you are ordering for has a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering. You are asked to confirm you have read the allergen information at checkout.
Collection and delivery
You choose collection or local delivery at checkout. Collection is from a point we confirm to you, during the stated window on the batch date. Local delivery is available only to the South Manchester postcodes listed at checkout, within the delivery window you select.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
To change or cancel an order, contact us at raemanesh7@gmail.com as early as possible and before the batch order cut-off. Because our desserts are freshly made to order and perishable, the usual distance-selling “cooling-off” cancellation right does not apply once preparation has begun, in line with UK consumer law for perishable and made-to-order goods. If something is wrong with your order, tell us and we will put it right.
Our responsibility to you
We take care to make and describe our products accurately. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under UK consumer law, or our liability for anything that cannot be limited by law (such as death or personal injury caused by negligence).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
