How Rai Desserts collects, uses and protects the information you give us when you order. We keep this short and only collect what we need to make and deliver your order.
Who we are
Rai Desserts(“we”, “us”) is a small-batch dessert business based in Levenshulme, Manchester. We are the data controller for the information described here. If you have any question about your data, contact us at raemanesh7@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you place a pre-order, we collect only what we need to fulfil it:
- Your name and email address.
- Your phone number, if you choose to give one (optional).
- For local delivery: your delivery address and postcode.
- Your order — the items, quantities and amount, your chosen collection or delivery window, and any gift message or notes you add.
We do notcollect or store card or bank details on this website. See “Payment” below.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To make, confirm and deliver or hand over your order — this is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To reply to you on WhatsApp or by email with order confirmation, payment and allergen information — also part of performing that contract.
- To meet our food-safety, allergen and accounting obligations — to comply with the law.
- We only send marketing if you have separately opted in, and you can withdraw that at any time.
Who else processes your data
We use a small number of trusted service providers, and share with each only what is needed:
- Your order reaches us as a WhatsApp message or an email that you send from your own app. WhatsApp (Meta) or your email provider transmits that message under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Our website host serves the pages of this site. Your order details are not stored on this website or its host — the site only helps you compose the order message.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Payment
Payment is by bank transfer: after you send your order, we reply to confirm your slot and share our account details. This website never asks for, sees or stores your payment details.
How long we keep it
We keep your order information for as long as we need it to fulfil your order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then we remove it. If you would like your information removed sooner, contact us and we will deal with it (see your rights below).
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. We handle these requests manually — email raemanesh7@gmail.com and we will respond. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page. This notice applies from the date Rai Desserts begins taking public orders.
